This was the set up of how i photographed these images
using two small beauty dishes with covers on to give as much
light as possible. This gave a very nice reflection on the vases.
The reason why i like this image is the simplicity of it, not
over exaggerated just straight on capturing the whole grouping.
I also liked this photograph because all the lighting use brought out
the colours in objects and brought the image to life.
In this image i used a large aperture to create a good strong depth of field
not to much as you can still see the background but enough to see the detail
in the flowers and leaves. I done this because the background itself had a lot
of detail on it and it would've taken away what were originally meant to be looking at.
When photographing flowers especially it doesn't always have to be bright and pretty; how you set it up is what makes the photograph not the flower.
I taken this image a while ago but it shows that flowers don't have to be all pretty. I picked these up from Asda already dead and scattered them across the floor. Using one spot light pointing down at them to give as less light as possible; i got on the floor and started photographing close up. Although the studio floor is very dirty i think this adds a little bit of suspense to the image as it almost looks like they were stamped on.
